General Instructions on how to Fix Leaks on a Metal and Rubber Roof:
1. Locate the leaky area. Either a seam or some flashing are the most common causes for leaks
2. Remove all the caulking, tar, and tapes people have used to attempt repairs
3. Use an angle grinder with a stiff wire brush to remove any silicone or tar and to smooth out the surface
4. Take a rag and dose it with Lacquer Thinners to clean the surface of the area to be repaired
5. Use masking tape to tape off the area where you want to make the repair
6. Apply 1 thick coat of Super Silicone Seal or Super Silicone Seal over the seam or approximately 5″ wide
7. Embed the Polyester Fleece into the coating
8. Apply a top coat of Super Silicone Seal or Super Silicone Seal over the Polyester Fleece. make sure to cover the fleece completely.
