To make repairs a flat roof edge, you can’t just torch a rubber membrane to it. The Modified Bitumen Torch Down membrane will not stick to an old asphalt roof. It will eventually come loose. We use Karnak 81 Trowel Grade to adhere the Torch down Rubber to the Asphalt Roof.
The owner didn’t want to tear the roof down and start all over again. So we did this repair to buy some time. The repair will last longer than the roof itself.
