Modified Bitumen
These types of roofs have seams every 3 feet and consist of Asphalt material. Some are coated with Aluminum Asphalt, which gives the appearance of a silver color. Others have a granular surface. Most have no coatings at all and feature a black, smooth surface with spider cracks.
Turbo Poly Seal should be used to make necessary repairs
Step-by-Step on How to Repair Leaks on Flat Roof Flashing
- Surface Preparation
Thoroughly remove all loose cement, paint, or debris from the area. For best results, use a mini grinder fitted with a steel brush.

- Turbo Poly Seal Application
Open the container of Turbo Poly Seal and stir thoroughly. The urethane and asphalt components may have separated during shipping or storage, so mixing is essential.

- First Coat
Using a disposable brush, apply the first coat of sealant. Extend coverage at least 2 inches on either side of the seam.
- Embedding Polyester Fleece
Unroll the Polyester Fleece directly into the wet sealant. Gently press it down to ensure complete contact and embedment into the coating.
- Second Coat
Apply a second coat of Turbo Poly Seal over the embedded fleece, ensuring the fabric is fully saturated and covered.
- UV Protection (Optional)
To protect the sealant from UV degradation, apply any exterior-grade paint over the cured surface. (It could be used as soon as 20 minutes after)
