Flex Seal, Silicone caulking, and repair tapes could not fix this skylight. After using Turbo Poly Seal I never ever had to go back on this job again. What a relief. This was my ninth attempt.

Skylights with metal frames that hold the glass start leaking after several years. The reason is the gasket seal between the glass and the metal dries and cracks and then the skylight starts leaking. Short from replacing the skylight, you can easily repair it with Turbo Poly Seal. This repair will last unlike caulking and other products that fail prematurely.
Steps to follow repairing a skylight leak:
1. Clean and remove all caulking and tapes that were used previously
2. Use lacquer thinners to wipe off any silicone residues
3. Use masking tape to tape off the area of transition
4. Apply one coat of Turbo Poly Seal over the glass and metal frame
5. Cut a piece of Polyester fleece and place it over the freshly painted coat embedding it into the Turbo Poly Seal
6. Apply another coat of Turbo Poly Seal covering the entire fleece
7. Remove the masking tape immediately after painting the 2nd coat
7. A final coat can be painted after a few hours
The repair will last for years and can save you money.
