Turbo Poly Seal is a sealant used to patch rusted holes in metal roofs. Here are the steps you can follow to use Turbo Poly Seal to fix a rusted hole in a metal roof:

Clean the area around the hole: Use a wire brush to remove any loose rust, dirt, or debris from around the hole.

Cut out the rusted area if the rusted area is too large: If necessary, use a metal cutting tool, such as a grinder, to cut out the rusted area around the hole. Make sure to cut beyond the rusted area to ensure that all of the corroded metal is removed.

Measure and cut a patch: Measure the hole size and cut a metal patch slightly larger than the hole. The patch should be made of the same type of metal as the roof.

Apply a metal primer: Apply a metal primer to the area where the patch will be placed. The primer will help the patch adhere to the roof and prevent further rusting.

Apply Turbo Poly Seal: Apply Turbo Poly Seal to the area around the hole, covering the entire area where the patch will be placed.

Place the patch: Place the metal patch over the hole and press it firmly into the Turbo Poly Seal. Ensure the patch is flat and free of any wrinkles or bubbles.

Apply more Turbo Poly Seal: Apply another layer of Turbo Poly Seal over the patch, making sure to cover the edges as well.

Install Polyester Fleece: While the Turbo Poly Seal is still wet, apply a Polyester fleece covering all the seams on the metal patch.

Let the Turbo Poly Seal dry: Allow the Turbo Poly Seal to dry completely according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Approx. 24 hours. It can rain within 20 minutes after making the repair.

Paint the patched area: Paint the patched area to match the rest of the roof. This will help the patch blend in and protect the metal from further rusting. Use Silver Coat Protection or any other paint.

Remember, safety is essential when working on a roof. Wear appropriate safety gear, such as gloves, goggles, and a hard hat.
