The rubber boot or gasket usually makes the seal between a roof and vent pipe deteriorates due to ultraviolet exposure. The rubber crumbles and your roof starts leaking. Instead of replacing the rubber or having a roofing contractor come and do the repair, you can quickly fix it yourself.
